People in our country are going through a lot of stress these days – loadshedding, law and order, hot summer, water scarcity, etc. They need festivals like basant to overcome all this misery.
We should take a holistic approach and instead of completely banning the festival – that affords people chance to socialise and enjoy – those bringing a bad name to it should be penalised.
