With just two episodes into the romantic comedy Romeo Weds Heer, a drama serial that reunites Khaani duo, actor Feroze Khan and actress Sana Javed in lead roles, has topped the ratings chart, setting a new benchmark along the way. The second episode that aired on Sunday on Geo Entertainment has gotten more than 1.3 million views on YouTube.
Producer Abdullah Kadwani took to social media to share the good news and thanked fans and viewers for all the love and support. “Romeo Weds Heer has won the hearts of the viewers from the beginning and the second episode has gotten highest ever rating of 9.05,” he wrote on his official Instagram handle.
Directed by Anjum Shahzad and produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi of 7th Sky Entertainment, Romeo Weds Heer follows the story of two college students Heer (Sana Javed) and Romeo (Feroze Khan). Initially Heer blames Romeo for the prank that he never did and this leads to getting back at each other whenever both of them get the chance. Romeo is a pampered guy, who belongs to an affluent family, while Heer is a strong-willed girl, who wants to complete her education before getting married. The two continue to seek revenge and play pranks on each other in the second episode as well. How things unfold is yet to be seen in the coming episodes.
Apart from Sana and Feroze, the play features Firdous Jamal, Saman Ansari, Ali Rizvi and Syed Shafaat Ali, among others.
