An in-depth analysis of the Senate elections can reveal certain indicators about Pakistan’s future. The way votes were bought and a number of incompetent individuals were supported based on loyalty to party heads reflects our moral bankruptcy.
With good governance the possibility of solving problems like poverty, deteriorating law and order situation as well as loadshedding has a better chance. Naya Pakistan seems to be an elusive dream in the wake of the low moral standards set by our legislators.
