Since appearing in Main Hoon Shahid Afridi and Waar - two films that have shaped the Pakistani cinema revival in significant fashion - Hamza Ali Abbasi’s star as an actor and celebrity has risen. Though he is no longer associated to the sequel of the romantic comedy film, Jawani Phir Nahi Ani - in which he starred alongside Humayun Saeed, Ahmed Ali Butt and Vasay Chaudhry - Abbasi has proven that his acting chops are secondary to none. Known for essaying Afzal in the drama serial, Pyarey Afzal and Salahuddin in the drama serial Mann Mayal, 2018 will be a significant year for Abbasi, the actor.

He is starring in Parwaz Hai Junoon, which pays tribute to the Pakistan Air Force and Bilal Lashari’s Maula Jutt reboot in which he is joined by Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan and Humaima Malik as co-stars.
