Briefing the reporters after the summit meeting of the alliance Thursday, NMMM coordinator and former federal minister Hamid Saeed Kazmi announced supporting the demands made by spiritual leader Pir Hameeduddin Sialvi from the Punjab government, including dismissal of Home Minister Rana Sanaullah, and said all parties of NMMM would contest the coming elections from a single platform.

He said NMMM appealed to all ulema, mashaikh and prayer leaders to observe countrywide Al-Quds Day today (Friday), adding that the movement included “Tajdar Khatm-e-Nabuwwat march” in Lahore from Data Darbar to Punjab Assembly on January 4, Nizam-e-Mustafa conference at Nishtar Park, Karachi on January 6, Ulema and Mashaikh convention in Lahore on January 28, Nizam-e-Mustafa conference in Multan in February, public meeting in Quetta on March 18 and public meeting in Kasur on April 6.

He said the date of Karachi-Rawalpindi long march was yet to be finalised. He said the meeting constituted a committee headed by veteran spiritual leader Mian Jalil Sharaqpuri for convincing Tehrik Labbaik Ya Rasoolallah (TLYR) chief Allama Khadim Hussain Rizvi to join NMMM. He said the NMMM would play a decisive role in country’s politics and elections.

He expressed confidence that NMMM would soon include all spiritual leaders and custodians of shrines to make it a great political and religious force. He said NMMM supreme council would decide about seats adjustment with other political parties and alliances when the time came.

He held the PML-N government responsible for amending Khatm-e-Nabuwwat oath and said every sacrifice would be made to protect the cause of Khatm-e-Nabuwwat, adding that all conspiracies would be foiled. Terming US president Trump’s pro-Israel policies an open threat to world peace, he urged all Muslim rulers to evolve a joint strategy for the liberation of Qibla-e-Awwal.
