PAF team wins trophy inPU declamation contest

LAHORE: A team of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Academy Risalpur won trophy in All Pakistan Punjab University Bilingual Debating Championship 2017. The event was organised by Punjab University (PU) Directorate of Students Affairs. The prize distribution ceremony was held at Faisal Auditorium here on Thursday. PU Vice Chancellor Dr Zafar Mueen Nasir distributed prizes among the winners. PU Director Students Affairs Shahid Mahmood Gull, Deputy Director Muhammad Zubair Akram, faculty members and a large number of students were present on the occasion. In English debates, PAF Risalpur’s student Sheharyar, University of Sargodha’s student Sultan Aarfeen and Military College of Engineering Risalpur’s student Hassam got first, second and third position respectively. In Urdu debates, Abdullah Warraich of a private university, University of Agriculture Faisalabad’s student Hamza Tariq and Forman Christian College (FCC) Lahore’s student Hamza Ilyas got first, second and third positions respectively. Some 80 students from FCC Lahore, Government College University Lahore, University of Balochistan, University of Gujrat, NUST, University of Sargodha, University of South Asia, University of Lahore, PAF College Risalpur and other institutes participated in the event.
