Rangers arrested four hackers in a raid in Gulshan-e-Iqbal on Friday believed to be involved in crimes worth millions of dollars and Euros.
A Rangers spokesperson said the paramilitary force conducted an intelligence-based raid and after putting up with resistance, rounded up four men, Mohammad Jawed Khan, Salahuddin, Shahnawaz Hussain Siddique and Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah.
They were taken to the Rangers headquarters for interrogation.
The arrested men were found in possession of a 9mm pistol, a magnetic strip RW machine and 120 magnetic strip cards.
The spokesperson said these men were associated with a hacker network, which was engaged in a large-scale internet crimes including ATM fraud, hacking of bank accounts and preparation of fake credit cards by through which they had transferred about eight million Euros and one million dollars from various international banks to various accounts.
They were given a handsome amount of commission for this illegal transmission of money. They used a magnetic strip RW machine for making fake strip cards. The four men were handed over to police for further proceedings.
