Similarly, there is also the story of Shah Rukh Khan’s long delayed film, Raees, which stars Pakistan’s very own Mahira Khan and its potential clash with Hrithik Roshan starrer, Kabil since both films are set to release on January 26, circa 2017.

Though these box office collisions are inevitable, another possible clash between a Shah Rukh Khan film and a Hrithik Roshan vehicle has been averted, thanks to the efforts of director Rakesh Roshan.

“It is unethical for me to release my film on this date as Shah Rukh has already announced his movie,” Roshan noted in a press statement. The films include Rakesh Roshan’s Krrish 4 and SRK’s untitled next with Aanand L. Rai. “[Likewise] I had announced the date for Kaabil earlier; if they are coming on the same date, then I can’t do anything about it,” Roshan added.

SRK will be playing a dwarf in Rai’s next while Krrish 4 will feature Hrithik in his super hero avatar again. Of course, the clash between Raees and Kaabil is still on but whether it will stay that way remains to be seen.

“I don’t know what they will eventually decide. We’re here to make films, not create controversies. As far as Shah Rukh is concerned, he’s like a younger brother to me. I gave him a break in King Uncle, and then worked with him in Karan Arjun and Koyla.”
