LONDON: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif landed in London from Belarus for two weeks amid show of support by PMLN activists at the Avenfield flats.
The former premier landed at the Luton Airport at noon and is expected to stay in the city for two weeks.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is already in London over the weekend. He will fly back to Pakistan on Sunday night to attend the Overseas Pakistanis Convention in Islamabad.
Nawaz Sharif was received at the airport by PMLN UK leaders Ahsan Dar and others.
Before Sharif’s arrival, supporters of PTI and PMLN verbally clashed outside the Park Lane flats. A large number of PMLN supporters gathered to receive Nawaz Sharif. PTI activists protested against Sharif. The police separated the two sides. Nawaz Sharif didn’t speak to the media on his arrival. The PM will meet his elder brother Nawaz at the Avenfield flats before leaving for Pakistan.
