Sindh Energy Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah on Friday took notice of ongoing load-shedding at examination centres during the matriculation exams, expressing concern over the distress caused to students amid extreme heat and power outages.
The minister stated that the load-shedding was creating severe difficulties for students and urged immediate action. He directed K-Electric to exempt all examination centres from power cuts during the exams and instructed officials to maintain constant communication with the administrators of the affected centres.
"Providing relief to students during examinations is a shared responsibility of both K-Electric and the government," Shah said. He further noted that K-Electric could enhance its public image by ensuring an uninterrupted power supply at exam centres and helping alleviate the students' hardships.
