Timely completion of uplift works in Islamabad ordered

Islamabad:An important meeting was chaired by Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa to review the latest progress on ongoing projects, challenges, and future strategies for developmental works in various sectors of Islamabad in order to meet the residence requirements of the citizens of Islamabad. The meeting was attended by CDA board members, senior officers from the Engineering and Estate Wings, and officers from relevant wings.

The chairman was given a detailed briefing on the ongoing development activities especially in Sector C-14. He directed all concerned to ensure the completion of all developmental works, including roads, drainage, sewerage, streetlights, and the handover of residential plots to residents by June this year. Emphasis was placed on providing overseas Pakistanis with all basic amenities, issuing timely demand notices for utilities, and expediting payment processes. Instructions were also issued to install modern solar streetlights in new sectors and enhance the beauty of these areas through horticulture, landscaping, and tree plantation.

During the briefing, it was informed that over 50% of road infrastructure work in Sector E-12 has been completed. CDA Chairman instructed strict action against land grabbers, encroachers and warned against any leniency in this regard. The phased handover of plots after the completion of all developmental works and clearance of development charges was also approved during the meeting.

During the meeting, it was decided to start the process for allocation of amenity plots in new sectors for mosques, schools, and hospitals. The Engineering Wing was directed to share weekly drone footage of all developmental works on CDA’s official website and social media platforms. Additionally, informative signboards must be installed on all plots and roads for public convenience.

CDA chairman stressed accelerating developmental projects to meet the June deadline. He emphasized ensuring the immediate handover of plots to owners after the payment of development charges. Chairman CDA directed that all issues related to Built-Up Properties (BUP) to be resolved on a priority basis. The chairman made it clear that no leniency would be shown against illegal occupants and that obstacles hindering infrastructure development must be removed promptly. He further stated that he would personally monitor development activities in new sectors to ensure citizens receive high-quality facilities.

In his concluding remarks, CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa stated that provision of better facilities to citizens is our top priority. CDA is committed to ensuring transparency and quality in sector development works while safeguarding the public’s rightful interests.
