Vaccination of livestock in full swing in Waziristan

WANA: The district administration has sent vaccination teams to Ladha, Kaniguram and other areas to vaccinate the livestock and protect them from infectious diseases.

Upper South Waziristan Deputy Commissioner Saleem Jan Marwat and Assistant Director Livestock Dr Noor Sultan are supervising the vaccination drive in the district.The vaccination teams have launched a campaign in Ladha, Kaniguram, Saam, Kacha Langar Khel and surrounding areas to protect animals against foot-and-mouth disease and other illnesses.

Special arrangements were made at the Livestock Hospital in Upper Kaniguram, where a large number of local residents were bringing their animals for free vaccination.The residents thanked the district administration and the vaccination staff for taking timely action against the outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease and saving their precious livestock.The elders also appealed to the authorities to compensate those whose livestock had already perished due to the disease.
