Nov 26 protest case: PTI workers handed over to police on 4-day remand

Court ordered the accused to be presented before court again on April 9

ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Judge Tahir Abbas Supra has handed over 88 PTI workers, arrested in cases registered against them for the November 26 protest, to the police on a four-day physical remand.

During the hearing Saturday, after an identity parade, all the accused were presented in the court in Islamabad. The prosecutor said that all the accused have been identified he requested the court to grant the accused physical remand for investigation. Weapons and other items have to be recovered from the accused.

The defense counsel opposed the physical remand of the accused. The court ordered the accused to be presented before the court again on April 9. Cases have been registered against PTI workers in Kohsar and Tarnol police stations.
