LAHORE : In the light of the orders of the Provincial Minister for Health, Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education, Khawaja Salman Rafique, the Lahore General Hospital (LGH) administration has finalised the arrangements for providing timely treatment facilities to the patients during the Eid holidays.
In this regard, Principal Ameeruddin Medical College Prof Dr Muhammad Al-Fareed Zafar appointed Dr Yahya Sultan, Grade 20, as Director Emergency in LGH.
MS Prof Faryad Hussain said that the duties of administrative doctors and health professionals have been assigned, who will perform their duties in three shifts as per the given schedule. He said that under the policy of the Punjab government, medicines, diagnostic tests and other facilities will be available free-of-cost to patients in emergency without any slip fee.
Prof Faryad Hussain has asked the heads of all departments to keep their mobile phones on during the Eid days. He directed the employees of the works department to keep all generators updated and ensure the attendance of electricians and other staff on duty during these days.
MS LGH also strictly instructed the sanitary inspectors to pay special attention to cleanliness so that the people visiting the hospital get a pleasant environment and they leave with positive impressions. He also instructed the security guards to be alert and said that they should behave with patients and their families politely. In case of complaint, action will be taken as per the rules and regulations.
Prof. Faryad also directed the AMS admin and nursing administration to ensure that their subordinate staff strictly adhere to the duty hours and take departmental action against employees who are absent or late without delay.
