PARACHINAR: An expatriate Pakistani who lived for 13 years in Australia died of a heart attack in Peshawar before he could reach his native town in the Kurram tribal district to reunite with family.
His family was unable to meet him before he breathed his last due to the closure of roads. The funeral prayer for Noor Nabi was offered on Friday and he was laid to rest at his ancestral
graveyard.
His sons, Raza Abbas, Haider Abbas, and Akash, told the media their father had gone to Australia 13 years ago and was eager to return to Parachinar to reunite with his family.However, due to the closure of roads, he was forced to wait in Islamabad and Peshawar for several days.
His name had been added to the helicopter transport list for Parachinar, but tragically, he suffered a fatal heart attack a day before his scheduled journey.His body was eventually transported home, where his last funeral rites were offered.
Noor Nabi’s youngest son, Akash, expressed his grief, saying, “My father had promised to bring chocolates, a mobile phone, and other gifts for me from Peshawar, but due to road closure, we were unable to meet him. Our happiness was short-lived.”Parachinar and the surroundings in the Kurram district have been facing the closure of roads for nearly six months, preventing many travelers from reaching homes.
