LAHORE: PepsiCo Pakistan is strengthening its food security efforts this Ramazan through the Filling Hearts initiative, having reached a significant milestone of distributing two million meals since the programme’s inception, said a statement on Friday.
This year, the company will provide over 750,000 meals near its operational sites across Punjab, continuing its collaboration with the PepsiCo Foundation -- its philanthropic arm -- to support underserved communities during the holy month.
The initiative builds on a strong foundation of community support, following the distribution of more than seven million meals through the Millions of Meals programmes. Filling Hearts is part of PepsiCo’s long-term commitment to addressing food security challenges in Pakistan, encompassing both immediate relief and sustainable community support strategies, the statement read.
The initiative is part of a broader strategy that includes comprehensive programmes such as She Feeds the World, which has played a vital role in supporting women farmers, promoting sustainable agricultural practices, and strengthening community resilience. Through these efforts, PepsiCo continues to address the root causes of food insecurity by supporting local agricultural ecosystems and creating economic opportunities.
“At PepsiCo Pakistan, #InWithForPakistan is more than a hashtag -- it is our operational philosophy,” said Director of Corporate Affairs Khurram Shah. “Our Filling Hearts initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to standing with local communities, understanding their challenges and supporting their aspirations.”
