LAHORE:The Punjab Home Department has directed law enforcement agencies to ensure foolproof security for Jumatul Wida, Youm Al-Quds, and Eid-ul-Fitr.
A three-tier security system will be enforced at mosques, with strict monitoring and additional personnel. Walk-through gates, CCTV surveillance, and metal detector screenings will be mandatory. Security at public places, including Eid markets and parks, will be heightened. Firearms display, hate speech, and loudspeaker misuse are strictly prohibited. Emergency response agencies are on high alert, and authorities have been instructed to ensure swift information sharing. Deputy Commissioners, CCPO Lahore, and DPOs must ensure full implementation of the security plan.
