NA body tells all agencies to wrap up case by next meeting

The sub-committee of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Interior held its second meeting to discuss the Mustafa Amir murder case at the Central Police Office in Karachi on Wednesday.

At the outset, the meeting chaired by MNA Abdul Qadir Patel finalised the minutes of the previous meeting, approved them with a majority vote, and inquired about the investigation progress.

Representatives of the Sindh police, the Criminal Investigation Agency, the Anti-Narcotics Force, the Federal Investigation Agency, and the Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department gave detailed briefings to the committee on their respective investigations made and actions taken.

The meeting appreciated all the agencies for working together on the case and collecting solid evidence during their investigations. The committee members reiterated their commitment to completing the investigation, submitting their report to the NA after the next meeting, and sharing the facts with the public through the media.

The meeting stressed that all the institutions inform the committee about the logical, legal and constitutional outcome of the case by the next meeting so that a detailed report can be prepared based on their findings and recommendations.
