LAHORE:In a move to facilitate prisoners during Eid-ul-Fitr, jail authorities have issued special directives to ensure inmates can meet and communicate with their families without hassle. The measures include extended visiting hours, enhanced security, and dedicated complaint-resolution mechanisms. According to an official notification, superintendents and deputy superintendents of prisons have been instructed to deploy special staff to manage visiting schedules from 8 AM to 5 PM during Eid holidays.

Additionally, officers from the Home Department and Inspectorate Regional Offices have been directed to personally inspect facilities to ensure compliance. "This initiative aims to uphold prisoners’ rights to family contact while maintaining security," a jail administration spokesperson said.
