AI is developing very quickly and it has both good and bad implications for Pakistan, especially for its growing number of young people. Even though AI can do a lot of good, we need to solve its negative issues. One big worry is that people might lose their jobs. Because AI is being used more to automate tasks, many simple jobs that young people often have in places like customer service and data entry are in danger. This might cause more unemployment and financial difficulties for many people in our country. Also, if young people use AI tools too much for information and help with problems, it might hurt their ability to think carefully and figure things out. If young people get used to AI giving them answers easily, their ability to think on their own and be creative might become weaker.
The fact that not everyone has the same access to technology is also a problem. Because not everyone has the same access to technology and the ability to use it, only some people who are better off will really gain from AI, which might increase the gap between the rich and the poor. It is really important for the government and educators to take action now to solve these issues by investing in programmes that teach digital skills, focusing on skills for the future, and making rules for how to use AI ethically. We have to make sure AI gives our youth more opportunities instead of putting them at a disadvantage.
