Islamabad:In a suspected act of revenge following a series of murders, one person was killed and another injured in a shooting incident outside the Islamabad District Court. Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Islamabad, Muhammad Jawad Tariq, has taken notice of the incident, and a special investigation team has been formed.

According to initial police reports, the shooting appears to be the result of a long-standing personal enmity. Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that the shooting erupted during a heated argument between the two groups. A police report details that on July 9, 2022, Awais Ali, a resident of Bangyal, registered a First Information Report (FIR) at the Kirpur police station, alleging that six armed individuals, concealed on a rooftop, opened fire, resulting in the murder of Muhammad Javed in a revenge attack stemming from an existing feud.

The police subsequently completed the challan (formal police report) and presented it to the court. Following a court hearing, two nominated accused, Nasser Mahmoud and Shahbaz Hamid, were targeted by three armed individuals on a motorcycle on the service road in G-11.
