Approximately 64 per cent of Pakistan's total population consists of young people. Unfortunately, the crime rate among this demographic appears to be on the rise. Mental stress, drug addiction and unemployment are among the leading factors behind this rise.
Over 20 million young people throughout the country are not in education, employment or training, with many resorting to drugs and crime. This problem is like a time bomb for our society. The government should invest in young people in order to reduce crime
and provide them with high-quality education.
