CHITRAL: In a coordinated effort by the Upper Chitral district administration, Talha Mahmood Foundation and the Wildlife Department, essential food supplies, medicines, and other necessities have been delivered to the residents of Broghil valley.

Heavy snowfall had caused the closure of the Mastuj-Broghil road, leading to a shortage of food and medicine in the valley. Upon receiving reports of the crisis, Deputy Commissioner, Upper Chitral, Haseebur Rehman Khan Khalil, issued special directives to the Communication and Works (C&W) Department to restore the road. After two days of continuous efforts, snow and debris were cleared, and traffic was restored. In response to the crisis, the district administration held an emergency meeting with government departments and welfare organisations to ensure the timely delivery of relief goods. Following these discussions, the Upper Chitral administration, in collaboration with the Talha Mahmood Foundation and the Wildlife Department, successfully transported and distributed food and medicine to the affected residents of Broghil.
