LAHORE:Trainee ASPs of National Police Academy Friday completed their training at Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA).
The ASPs were briefed on AI-based policing, the Virtual Women Police Station, and the Child Centre at Safe City. They were also told about the Emergency Panic Button and the Free Wi-Fi Service Project available at 130 different locations in Lahore.
The cops observed the handling of 15 emergency calls and the prompt police response process. They were imparted training on the ongoing work and services of all units of the PSCA, including the Safe City Complaint Portal Service, Media Monitoring, E-Challan System, and other modern policing initiatives.
PSCA MD Ahsan younis stated that the expertise of young officers in technology will further enhance the efficiency of the force. Traditional policing methods have become outdated, and the use of Artificial Intelligence worldwide is proving to be effective in crime prevention and modern policing, he maintained.
The trainee cops expressed their views saying the training course at Safe Cities Authority is proving effective in developing advanced investigative skills and crime prevention.
