Chairperson of ABAD Muhammad Hasan Bakshi emphasised that this initiative would set a new benchmark for construction projects, helping not only to address the energy crisis but also to combat climate change in Pakistan. He said that the collaboration between ABAD and NEECA would promote the adoption of energy-efficient designs and technologies, raising industry standards for builders, developers and architects across the country.

The meeting was attended by Managing Director of NEECA Sardar Muazzam, Senior Vice Chairman of ABAD Syed Afzal Hameed, Vice Chairman Tariq Aziz, and senior ABAD members Yunus Lakhani and Afaan Qureshi.

Bakshi further noted that implementing the ECBC would attract investment to the construction sector, which plays a crucial role in Pakistan’s economic development. He concluded by saying that the partnership between ABAD and NEECA marks a significant step towards a greener and more sustainable future for the country.
