KARACHI: Marghoob Saleem Butt, Pakistan’s ambassador-designate to Switzerland, met with key business leaders in Sialkot to discuss expanding trade potential with Switzerland and addressing challenges faced by Pakistani exporters.
During his visit, Butt held meetings with Director General of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Sialkot Khalid Rasool; Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Vice President Omer Khalid; and President of the Women Chamber of Commerce Sialkot Mariam Nouman.
The envoy was briefed on Sialkot’s key industries, including their significant contributions to Pakistan’s economy through exports of sports goods, surgical instruments and leather products. Butt commended the efforts of TDAP and the SCCI in promoting trade and expressed optimism for future collaborations to strengthen bilateral economic ties with Switzerland.
