LAHORE: The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Lahore has terminated its contract with a private firm responsible for collecting advertising taxes, due to multiple violations. Originally set to expire in June 2025, the contract was revoked after the company was found overcharging citizens by Rs200 million and unlawfully taxing publicity boards.
According to press release issued by PHA, the company also violated Lahore High Court orders and failed to provide the required tax collection data. Despite repeated warnings, it did not comply with the agreement. PHA has urged citizens to stop making payments to the company, warning of legal action against further transactions.
