JI lawmaker warns campaign
if accountability of politicians mentioned in Panama papers not initiated
BAHAWALPUR: Jamaat-e-Islami Parliamentary Leader in the Punjab Assembly, MPA Dr Syed Waseem Akhtar, on Monday said the Panama Leaks had provided a golden opportunity in Pakistan to complete accountability of all countryman.
Talking to reporters at an Iftar dinner in a local hotel organised by the JI Bahawalpur, the MPA asked the rulers not to avoid accountability process and initiate investigation, otherwise the JI would launch a campaign for accountability of those politicians who are mentioned in the Panama papers.The JI leader said more than 57 per cent of Punjab development budget could not utilised. He called for a mechanism to ensure complete utilisation of development budget.
