‘Agricultural land to be converted to parcel-based system’

LAHORE: An important meeting of Punjab Urban Land System Enhancement was held under the chairmanship of Senior Member Board of Revenue Punjab Nabeel Javed.

In the meeting chaired by SMBR Nabeel Javed, the proposal to conduct cadastral mapping of urban, pre-urban and rural lands of the province through the Punjab Urban Land System Enhancement (PULSE) Project came under discussion. PLRA DG Ikram-ul-Haq informed SMBR Nabeel Javed that with the use of modern technology, cadastral mapping of urban and rural areas of the province would be done on the basis of the existing digital land records and through the Punjab Urban Land System Enhancement (PULSE) Project. All agricultural land of Punjab will be converted to the parcel-based system. Under this project, screening of previously registered deeds will also be done. Various reforms related to appeal, revision and review will be introduced. On this occasion, Nabeel Javed said that making the land records of citizens secure and transparent is the top priority of the Board of Revenue Punjab. Modern land-related facilities will be provided to citizens in the near future.
