NOWSHERA: A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) training aircraft crashed near Risalpur on Tuesday, resulting in the martyrdom of the pilot.
The aircraft, identified as a PAF Academy Risalpur PK-8 Mushshak, reportedly crashed due to a technical malfunction.
The crash occurred at approximately 11:30am in a graveyard located in front of the PAF Academy wall near gate number 7.
Eyewitnesses reported hearing a loud explosion as the aircraft plummeted to the ground and caught fire upon impact. Local police, Pakistan Air Force personnel, and emergency services reached the scene and cordoned off the area.
The pilot, Squadron Leader Muhammad Ahmad, could not eject from the aircraft and he was martyred on the spot. His body was transferred to Combined Military Hospital Risalpur.
The wreckage of the aircraft was cleared, and forensic teams examined the site.
