ISLAMABAD: Chairman of the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) Dr Muhammad Raghib Hussain Naeemi has opined that there should be no politics on registration of Deeni Madaris as the issue has been resolved once for all.
Talking to a delegation of Ulema, the CII Chairman, however, said that the new Madrassa Ordinance as promulgated by the president should now be passed by the Parliament as a bill so that it should become a law.
He said that the government, while taking utmost care, had resolved the issue and now the unregistered Madaris have been given the option that they register themselves under the Societies Registration (Amendment) Act, 2024 or with Directorate of Religious Education of the Ministry of Education. “The government by giving both the options has resolved the issue and now there should be no politics on it”, Dr Naeemi said.
