PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Monday granted transit bail to Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Anti-Corruption Musaddiq Abbasi and two officials of the Anti-Corruption Establishment.
A single bench of PHC Chief Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim heard the petition and directed the petitioners to appear before the relevant courts in Islamabad to face the charges. The court also granted bail to two anti-corruption officials Siddiq Anjum and Muhammad Siddiq until October 25.
The court directed the petitioners to appear before the relevant court in Islamabad to face charges.The court was informed that a case had been registered against the three persons by the Federal Investigation Agency in Islamabad. However, the petitioners argued that the charges were politically motivated and that they were in Peshawar at the time when the case was filed.
