LAHORE:Dry and partly cloudy weather was witnessed in the City here on Monday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.

Met officials said a westerly wave was present over western and upper parts of the country and likely to strengthen from tonight. They predicted that rain-windstorm/thunderstorm was expected in upper/central Punjab, northeast Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Rainfall was recorded in some cities of Balochistan. Monday’s maximum temperature was recorded at Sukkur, Sakrand, Lasbella, Khairpur, Mithi, Turbat and Dadu where mercury reached 39°C, while in Lahore, it was 34.2°C and minimum was 21.8°C.
