Kangana Ranaut has been taken on-board by director Anand L. Rai for the third installment of his most-loved rom-com franchise, Tanu Weds Manu, reports.
Sources close to the development told Pinkvilla that the actress have been offered to do a triple role in the upcoming trilogy alongside R Madhavan.
“Kangana is excited to explore the first triple role of her career, and is awaiting a complete narration from Aanand L Rai. The film will give her the opportunity to dive into new shades of a performer”, added sources.
The news has come out as a surprise to Ranaut’s fans especially after she dropped hints of bidding goodbye to her film career only if her political career takes a positive turn.
While talking briefly about the film, the sources revealed that Tanu Weds Manu 3 will have a blend of romance and drama.
“It’s a sequel in a true sense and the makers have come across a story that organically leads itself to a trilogy. Staying true to the world of part one and two, the third installment, too, will be a blend of humour with romance and drama.”
Reportedly, the film has been locked by Anand and will go on floors in the mid of 2025.
“The basic idea is locked by Aanand L Rai and the intent is to take the film on floors in the second half of 2025”, sources revealed.
Tanu Weds Manu is one of the most entertaining romantic comedy films directed by Ananad L Rai. It features some extremely talented actors of Bollywood including; R. Madhavan, Jimmy Shergill, Deepak Dobriyal and Swara Bhasker.
