PTI to invite Indian FM to address its protest: Saif

He said the PTI had the right to protest under the constitution

KARACHI: Barrister Ali Saif, information adviser to the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government, has stated that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would invite Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, who is scheduled to visit Pakistan for the coming SCO summit in Islamabad, to address its protest at D-Chowk.

He said this while speaking on Geo News programme Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath’ on Friday. He said the PTI had the right to protest under the constitution.

Saif said India claimed to be the biggest democracy and the federal government was trying to show India that protests were not allowed in Pakistan. He added that the PTI would invite the Indian foreign minister to attend its protest and address it so that he could see how strong democracy was in Pakistan and how people were free to exercise their right to protest.
