I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the recent decision by the government to remove age relaxation for government job applicants, which is a grave injustice to the young people of our country. In an era where unemployment is already at an alarming level, this decision further diminishes the hopes of many aspirants who are seeking job opportunities in the public sector. The removal of age relaxation comes at a time when our educational institutions are facing significant delays in completing degree programmes.
The combination of delayed graduation and the removal of age relaxation creates a perfect storm of challenges for job seekers. It is nearly impossible for an individual to graduate on time and have jobs announced simultaneously, leaving aspirants with little hope. I urge the government to reconsider its decision and reinstate age relaxation to provide fair opportunities for all.
