An alleged robber was killed in Awami Colony on Saturday.
Police said 25-year-old Shoaib, son of a police officer, was sitting outside his residence when gunmen arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire on him before fleeing. Shoaib died on the spot.
His body was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for a postmortem examination.
Police said the man had a criminal background and enmities with people. An investigation is under way.
