FBR implements restructuring plan

FBR has implemented six major decisions including merger of posts of Member Information Technology and Member Digital Initiatives

ISLAMABAD: Under the much-hyped FBR’s transformation/restructuring plan, the tax collection machinery has brought about major re-designations, mergers and reporting lines of posts at the board’s headquarters.

The FBR has implemented six major decisions including merger of posts of Member Information Technology and Member Digital Initiatives. It is now called Director General Information Technology and Digital Transformation.

According to a notification issued by the FBR on Wednesday, in pursuance of decisions taken by the Board in its meeting held on 18.09.2024 as circulated vide FBR’s letter No.6(96)S(MoB)/2024-25 dated 27.09.2024, the following re-designations, merger and reporting lines of posts in FBR(Hqrs), Islamabad, are made, with immediate effect and until further orders.

The post of Member (Public Relations) is re-designated as Member (Taxpayers Services); (ii) The post of Member (Accounting) is re-designated as Member (Organizational Audit); (iii) The Director General (Revenue Analysis) shall report to Member (IR-Policy), FBR. (iv) The Director General, Internal Audit (IR) shall report to Member (Organizational Audit). (v) The posts of Member (Information Technology) and Member (Digital Initiatives) are merged and re-designated as Director General (Information Technology and Digital Transformation). DG (IT &DT) shall report to Member (IR-Operations), FBR.

The powers and functions of Member (Information Technology) and Member (Digital Initiatives) shall be exercised by the Member (IR-Operation).
