Islamabad: Pakistan and Denmark have agreed to work jointly on assistance for Pakistan’s transition to green energy and climate resilience.
The agreement came during a meeting between Ambassador of Denmark to Pakistan Jakob Linulf and Prime Minister’s Coordinator on Climate Change Romina Khurshid Alam here. They discussed several bilateral matters, focusing on assistance for Pakistan’s transition to green energy, climate resilience, water conservation, and biodiversity protection. Romina Alam emphasised Pakistan’s commitment to global climate action, highlighting the country’s support for several international initiatives aimed at safeguarding oceans, biodiversity, and water and energy resources. Both sides stressed the urgent need for shared efforts to advocate for equitable climate financing for developing countries affected by climate-related disasters, such as floods and heatwaves.
