PHP releases monthly performance report

LAHORE: The Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) has released its performance report for September 2024. The PHP checked 2.8 million citizens on highways through the e-Police Post app and arrested 512 proclaimed offenders (POs) and fugitives. The PHP officials checked 1.3 million vehicles and recovered 212 stolen vehicles and motorcycles.

They took action against over 29,000 overloaded vehicles for axle load violations, and imposed fine on owners of 1,172 vehicles for the use of illegal cylinders. The PHP authorities issued over 18,000 driving licences and reunited 64 missing children with their parents.

They also removed 714 encroachments that were hindering traffic flow and accorded assistance and guidance to 9,712 passengers and booked 100 accused involved in drug peddling and carrying illicit arms.
