ISLAMABAD: Although the rate of people worried about spamming or irrelevant advertisements on e-mail is low in Pakistan yet spamming has emerged as an important problem in the overall opinion of 39 countries of the world.
This was found out in a survey conducted by Gallup Pakistan and World Wide Independent Network in 39 countries of the world. In the survey, 8 percent of Pakistanis found spamming or repeated irrelevant advertisements on e-mail annoying and said they receive advertisements from companies they have never contacted. But 92 percent felt safe from spamming. Looking at the overall opinion of 39 countries, 43 percent complained about irrelevant and useless ads and said spamming was annoying. In the survey, the rate of people worried about spamming in the Middle East was seen at 17%.
