The incident occurred in Mashriqi Society, where the ground floor completely sank, resulting in workers being trapped beneath the rubble. Three workers — 25-year-old Ammar, son of Ejaz; 28-year-old Zeeshan, son of Imran; and Shahid, son of Ikram — were rescued with injuries and taken to a local hospital for treatment.

As the upper floors fell, debris caused damage to a neighbouring house and a parked vehicle. Local residents quickly gathered at the scene, prompting a swift response from authorities for the rescue operation. Police and rescue teams arrived shortly after the incident.

A spokesperson for the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) confirmed that a team was dispatched to the site following directives from the SBCA director general.

Building Inspector Aziz Janjan, along with Kashif Soomro, and a demolition team led by Shahid Shams, were on-site. The building, located on plot number RS-24, has been sealed, and an inspection is underway.
