CM aide wants quality ensured in executing uplift projects

PESHAWAR: Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Anti-Corruption Brigadier (Retd) Muhammad Mossadeq Abbasi on Tuesday called for ensuring quality in the execution of development projects by preventing the use of substandard materials.

Stressing the significance of transparency and accountability, he said this would help stop the wastage of government resources and funds.An official handout said that he was speaking during the monthly public forum of the Anti-Corruption Establishment in Mardan. Abbasi noted that the purpose of holding the open forums across the province was to identify and address issues within various departments.

The officials of the Mardan Region, Anti-Corruption Establishment, attended the event and learnt about the complaints of the public and ordered necessary action.During the forum, citizens raised issues related to education, land disputes and the Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA).

Abbasi listened to the complaints and directed the relevant officials to take swift action.He said the complainants should be informed about the progress and instructed anti-corruption officials to closely monitor the status of registered complaints.

According to the Anti-Corruption Establishment, a total of 131 people participated in the session where six complaints were registered. Abbasi said the Anti-Corruption Establishment had introduced a dedicated WhatsApp number (03319988848) for citizens to report cases of corruption.
