Traffic police to issue driving licences to students

LAHORE: Traffic police decided to issue driving licences to college and university students in Punjab.

According to a spokesperson from the Traffic Headquarters Punjab, the Additional IG Traffic has approved this initiative, and a letter was sent to all Chief Traffic Officers (CTOs) and District Traffic Officers (DTOs).

The letter outlines that licences would be issued to the administrations of colleges and universities, including their students.

IGP orders resolving cops' issues: The Inspector General Police (IGP), Punjab Tuesday met with police employees and their families at the Central Police Office (CPO). The IGP listened to the requests submitted by the employees and issued orders for immediate relief. He instructed the AIG Admin to provide assistance regarding the family claim of Head Constable late Muhammad Rasheed and directed the DIG Establishment II to address the transfer request of Constable Nasir Mahmood to the Training Directorate.

Additional IG Punjab was instructed to consider the re-appointment request of retired SI Qureshi Ijaz Ahmed as Inspector, and the DIG Establishment was directed to cancel the transfer of Constable Muhammad Jameel Ahmed to the Training Branch.

In response to Ghazi Constable Muhammad Kausar Islam's request to cancel his transfer, the IG also directed the DIG Establishment to provide relief. Furthermore, the IGP issued orders on various other applications related to discipline, welfare, and administrative matters.
