LANDIKOTAL: As many as 104 recruits, including 11 women, have joined the police force in the Khyber tribal district.
District Police Officer (DPO) Rai Mazhar Iqbal awarded them the appointment letters at a ceremony.
SP Investigation Kamal Hussain and DSP Headquarters Hikmat Khan Afridi were present there as well.
The DPO reiterated the commitment of the police in Khayber to uphold merit.
He enumerated the efforts being made to recruit local youth to bolster the police force’s effectiveness, particularly in the context of the region’s unique challenges.
The DPO noted that the police in the Khyber had lost 130 personnel in the line of duty. He urged the new recruits to honour these sacrifices by dedicating themselves to the protection of citizens and national integrity.
He expressed the hope that the members of the force would serve with diligence and integrity.
The DPO encouraged them to foster positive relationships with the community, remain committed to duties, and contribute to the department’s reputation.
