I would like to draw attention towards the inefficiency of the Garden Town, Lahore passport office. I, along with my daughter, applied for a passport on May 14, 2024 and we were given a delivery date of June 10, 2024. When I visited the said office on June 11, 2024 at 05:45 PM to collect our passports, the officer on duty told me that you will get your passport after four months now due to a shortage of passport papers. He further told me to visit after receiving a message from the passport office.
At last, on September 12, 2024, we received a message to collect the passport. Once again, I visited the said office on September 13, 2024 at 04:00 PM to collect the passport. This time, the officer on duty told me that although you received a message, it will take two to three days for your passport to reach the Lahore office from the Islamabad office. Would someone from the passport department like to throw some light on this strange logic?
