The COAS also invited the business community to collaborate with the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) to further advance the country’s economic progress.

In an interaction with the business community in Karachi, the COAS recalled a meeting with them a year ago, where he had encouraged them not to lose hope in Pakistan’s future.

He said that those who had attempted to create despair and despondency in society have been defeated through the collective efforts of all stakeholders.

During the discussion with business leaders, General Munir addressed key economic issues, saying that the country has extraordinary potential to excel in various sectors.

“It is due to our abundant resources and capabilities that Pakistan aspires to achieve its rightful place in the global community,” he said.

He further mentioned the positive impact on the national economy following efforts to curb smuggling along the western borders.

The army chief assured the business community of Karachi that the Pakistan Army is committed to combating illegal activities and pledged that their issues would be addressed on a priority basis.

He also praised the role of friendly countries, particularly China, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, in supporting Pakistan’s economic revival.

General Munir highlighted international investment in Pakistan, saying that companies like Google and Starlink are investing in the country.

“This success has been made possible through the cooperation of the business community,” he remarked.
