Pakistan's national language, Urdu, is in decline. English has become the darling of our conversation, leaving Urdu in the darkness. Schools, once bastions of Urdu, now neglect its teaching. The government must step up to save Urdu. We need education reforms that promote Urdu and leaders who champion our national language.
