Donna revealed: "He said that 'When you meet people like that, you know when the royals come in or Paul McCartney or Hugh Grant... you're just like, who in this picture doesn't fit? Why am I here and why am I even allowed to talk to these individuals? It just doesn't seem right.'"

The meeting occurred at Wembley Stadium in June, where Prince William, 42, and his two children, Princess Charlotte and Prince George, were in attendance for Taylor Swift's first Eras concert in London.

Travis Kelce, 34, was there to support his girlfriend, the pop superstar Taylor Swift. The day after the concert, Swift posted a backstage selfie on Instagram that included herself, Kelce, and the royal family.

She captioned the photo: "Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start", tagging the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Prince William also shared a version of the photo on his official Instagram account. Later, Kelce expressed his thoughts on the royal meeting during an episode of his podcast, New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce.

He expressed uncertainty about the proper protocol, saying: "[I] wasn't sure if I was supposed to, like, bow to them, curtsy, just be an American idiot and shake their hand".

Despite his initial hesitation, Kelce had a positive impression of the royals, particularly Prince William.

Kelce said regarding the heir to the throne: "Dude, he was the coolest.

"He was awesome. They were an absolute delight to meet".

Donna Kelce noted that her son is handling such high-profile encounters well, adding: "He's a pretty friendly guy".
