Happy Gilmore two, starring Adam Sandler, has expanded its cast with a new addition after Bad Bunny and Travis Kelce joined the sequel.
Deadline reported on Friday, September 27, that professional wrestler Maxwell Jacob Friedman, famously known as MJF of AEW, has joined the talented ensemble of the upcoming Netflix film.
The details of his character's nature have been kept under tight wraps, just as the sequel’s plot has been.
The returning cast for the Happy Gilmore sequel includes Christopher McDonald and Julie Brown, reprising their roles as Shooter McGavin, the pro golfer antagonist, and Virginia Venit, the love interest of Sandler’s titular character.
In addition, Sandler, 58, recently teased some exciting cameos in the pipeline featuring Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, 34, and Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio.
Reportedly, the sequel, which is now underway production, marked the reunion of Sandler and director Kyle Newacheck after they teamed up in another Netflix movie, Murder Mystery.
The director will helm the much-anticipated Happy Gilmore sequel from a script penned by Sandler and Tim Herlihy, who is producing alongside Jack Giarraputo and Robert Simonds.
Additionally, the original film’s director, Dennis Dugan, is contributing as an executive producer alongside Barry Bernardi, David Bausch, Kevin Grady, and Judit Maull.
